Nagapriya

Nagapriya grew up in rural Gloucestershire, England. He studied philosophy at the University of Leeds, where he came into contact with Buddhist teachings for the first time. In 1992, he was ordained into the Triratna Buddhist Order. He also holds a Master's in Religions from the University of Manchester as well as a PGCE from the University of Greenwich. His published books include: 'Exploring Karma and Rebirth' (2004), 'Seeing Like a Buddha: the Four Noble Truths' (2020), 'The Promise of a Sacred World: Shinran's Teaching of Other Power' (2022), and 'The Possibility of Amazement: Awakening the Five Spiritual Faculties' (2026). He has also written for 'Tricycle' magazine. Several of his works are now available in Spanish and other languages.

Nagapriya has shared Buddhist teachings in many different contexts and countries, most notably the Manchester Buddhist Centre, the University of Manchester, and el Centro Budista de Cuernavaca. Since 2013, he has been living in Mexico where he supports pioneering Buddhist projects in Toluca, Guadalajara, and Puebla. He also continues to write.
