Christine Day

Christine Day, English writer and artist, began her career as a journalist on the London Pop Scene interviewing icons such as Bob Dylan, Jimi Hendrix, Twiggy and David Bowie. Following acceptance of her Sixties novella, Between The Broken Glass The Play, by legendary publisher John Calder, Christine opted for a calmer lifestyle in the country. She wrote short stories and profiled celebrities for Hello magazine.

A passionate love of Nature and a deep interest in spiritual exploration later inspired A Unicorn Danced In The Woods, delightfully illustrated by John Wakefield - A Forest Dreaming, a novella about a reclusive artist - and The Disappearing Place, Earth stories for children small and tall, illustrated by Australian artist Jacob Evans. In 2024 Christine brought Between The Broken Glass The People Play into the 21st Century - a new extended version, embellished with broken glass images by Dominic Herman-Day, actor and street photographer.
