Johnny Mack was an only child to hard working parents who were very strict disciplinarians. No matter how many beatings Johnny took for being naughty,he rebelled constantly. From an early age he hated school and in the end school hated him. He was eventually expelled aged thirteen and never went back. So his education was limited. He started a family aged fifteen and went on to marry and have four children in all. In his teens he was taken under the wing of an infamous London gangster who educated him into the criminal fraternity.He then spent most of his life as London gangster. For two decades Johnny threw himself wholeheartedly into a life of crime. From Hi-jacking, Bank robbery, Unlicensed boxing and eventually drug distribution on a massive scale around notorious housing projects.
He ran illegal drinking and gambling clubs known as spiellers'(Speak easy's in US)
everything was grist to Johnny's mill.
Drug/Alcohol addiction finally brought Johnny's world crashing down to earth. Going cold turkey to clean himself of the drugs he spent months re-evaluating his life. Johnny's strongly believes that he had a spiritual experience and felt the presence of the Holy Spirit. Though he stopped the drugs, he was still alcohol dependent. But when he felt the Holy presence again his obsession and craving for booze disappeared instantly. Johnny firmly believes that he has a purpose in life today and that is to help others and write novels.
After his experience Johnny turned his life around and turned his back on crime, drugs and booze. He decided write about his life experiences. But there was so much he wanted to share with others that it took two books to complete the job. Johnny had his work accepted for publishing the first time he submitted, which says a lot about the quality of his work. After finishing his autobiographies, Johnny went on to write crime fiction books. His latest novel 'Memoirs of a Hitman' has been getting some great reviews which has encouraged Johnny to work full time as a writer.
With no education but a great imagination Johnny's work is being received warmly from avid readers from all around the world.
Johnny also helps others who are on the same path to destruction that he once walked. He shares his experience, strength and hope with them...and has helped many by giving them hope.
Johnny was published in the traditional way including 'Kindle format after being flooded with requests to go that way. His first Kindle publication will be of his latest novel 'Memoirs of a Hitman' then shortly after he will be publish his autobiographies 'Dunpeckham' & 'Landed on the Moon'
Johnny attracted the attention of award winning director/producer Lee Hutcheon of Clan films. Together they have written an amazing screenplay 'London Boy' which is based on Johnny's life. The quality of the script has drawn the interest from reputable production companies worldwide. Talks are underway to get Johnny's life onto the big screen and it won't be long before 'London Boy' is shared with the world.
