Wendy Beasley could be described as coming late to the party. Publishing her first work of children’s fiction Charlotte and the Fairies in 2020 during what could be described as her third age, she went on to bring out the hard hitting women’s fiction Beasts and Butterflies later that same year.
She is both prolific and diverse and, as if in a race against time, had completed two more children’s books and another adult fiction by the Spring of 2021. These are awaiting publication, but include a sequel to Charlotte and the Fairies which introduces Marty the Monster, an adult graphic thriller and a book for older children about a young girl’s fight to save her dog. She hopes that these will be in print before the end of the year.
Wendy started her literary career writing articles, reports and a weekly column and, after many years of reporting things as they are or as they happen, she is thoroughly enjoying the freedom that writing for this genre provides. With no plans to slow down Wendy has already started a third book in the Charlotte series and has ideas for another novel which are just starting to come together.
