David Phillips

David Phillips was born in the fenlands of Norfolk, in England's East Anglian region. He loved the countryside and writing, so when he left school in 1972 he joined Angling Times (then the world's biggest fishing publication) as a reporter. Since then he has edited magazines and written books on his great passions of Land Rovers, fishing, railways, gardening and his beloved River Nene.

These days he lives and works from his cottage on the banks of that river in rural Northamptonshire.
