John Hargreaves

John Hargreaves’ latest publication is Seventy-five Love, a collection of thirteen short stories each told in the voice of a seventy-five-year-old.

His novels include Grandfathers’ Gifts – based on the experience of a Tommy escorting a German prisoner back from the trenches in 1918 – and Dr Clegg’s Machete, which bestselling medical writer Dr Andrew Stanway called “A deeply moving and terribly accurate indictment of how the medical establishment works.”

His horticultural travelogue Harvests and Harvesters was described by Roy Strong as “A really good read” and by the Western Morning News as “A thoroughly entertaining book which will make you croon to your seedlings.”
