Name: Meg (Margaret) Ruth Harper
Birthday: 21st October
Lives: Warwick
Occupation: Writer / drama teacher / author workshop leader / mother
Family: Two sons, Phin and Jos and two daughters, Kezia and Lydia (twins).
Siblings: One older sister, Janet.
Pets: Cats, Chickens.
Hobbies: Reading (predictable!), swimming, walking, visiting museums, old houses, castles etc but only if they have good tea shops with home-made cake, Tudor Re-enactment (that's pretending you're a Tudor person and people pay (not me, unfortunately) to watch you).
Home Town: Stockport - great place if you like gloomy Victorian factories (and I do!). Not so good if you like football - but Stockport County are a lot better than they used to be!
Three Words that Describe You Best: Crabby, grumpy witch. No? How about charismatic, creative, energetic? Well, somewhere between the six.
Childhood Idol: Prince Rupert of the Rhine. He was six foot five inches tall (guess how tall my husband is?)
Person Who Inspires You: John Pilger - he's an investigative journalist. Lord Shaftesbury - he's the person who made sure kids didn't get sent to work in mines. He was always up to something good!
With Only 24 hours Left to Live I Would: I think I would phone, e-mail or speak to all the people I could whom I like or love and then, if possible, I'd go for a walk in the Pennine hills or along a cliff-path by the sea. I'd pray and I'd think. Then I'd round things off with a trip to a tea-shop with cake, of course, and spend any time left reading any replies to my e-mails and a really good book! I'd like to be able to cram in a trip to the Blue Lagoon in Iceland to wallow in the hot water there but I don't think that'd leave enough time for the other things!
