And finally Pig Out!(a children's book about a boy who can't speak, but learns he can talk to animals who become his friends.) (This novel was recently nominated for a National Book Award.)

John lives on an orange and avocado farm in California with his wife and two boys. He writes every day and lives in that paradise because he feels he deserves it.
