Despite college majors in English and art, Kathleen Fox has never had a job that required her to ask, “Would you like fries with that?” She is a writer, editor, and speaker who grew up on the South Dakota prairie and now lives on the edge of the Black Hills.
Kathleen has five adult children and stepchildren, as well as 15 (at last count; it's hard to keep track after you run out of fingers) grandchildren. Years of listening to dinner-table conversations at family gatherings has taught her that one of life’s great pleasures is a good story. And the best stories come from taking a slightly skewed look at life’s little adventures and misadventures—even the ones that aren't the least bit funny at the time.
