He graduated from Stevens Institute Of Technology with a Master's Degree in Computer Science in 1974. He worked as a Computer Systems Analyst in the corporate offices of Sears Roebuck and later with Merrill Lynch.

He started his own computer software company developing telephony-related applications in 1982 and is retired from 35 years of managing his own business.
