Edwin van de Haar

Edwin van de Haar (1971), a Dutch national, is an independent scholar specializing in the liberal tradition in international political thought. He has lectured in international relations and political theory at Brown University, Leiden University and at Ateneo de Manila University.

Van de Haar holds a PhD from Maastricht University (2008), a MSc in International Relations from the London School of Economics and Political Science (1997) and a MA in Political Science from Leiden University (1996).

His latest book is entitled 'Human Nature and World Affairs. An Introduction to Classical Liberalism and International Relations Theory' (London: Institute Economic Affairs, 2023).
