Tammy Beasley

Tammy graduated from Auburn University in 1984 with a BS in Nutrition and Foods and completed a dietetic internship in 1985 with the University of Alabama in Birmingham (UAB). Since beginning her career, she has been associated with some of the top health and wellness facilities in Alabama (UAB, Sportslife, Total Wellness Center, PRSM and D1) and South Florida (Baptist Hospital of Miami, WellStyles). She has served as adjunct professor for the dietetics program at Florida International University and the sports nutrition program at the University of Alabama in Huntsville through the Health and Physical Education Department.

She is a certified eating disorder specialist in nutrition through the International Association of Eating Disorders Professionals since 1993, and was the first Alabama dietitian certified in sports dietetics with the American Dietetic Association in 2006. She is an active member of the Dean's Advisory Board for the College of Human Sciences, Auburn University.

In 1995, Tammy received the Recognized Young Dietitian of the Year award from the Florida Dietetic Association while living and working in the Miami community. Subsequently, in 2007 the Alabama Dietetic Association recognized Tammy as the Outstanding Dietitian of the Year.

Tammy provides nutrition consulting services and enjoys speaking to local, state and national associations as well as media outlets. She has served as the State Media Representative for the American Dietetic Association since 2002.

Tammy is the founder and creator of Rev It Up!, which originated in 2001 and has been or is currently offered in a class format in 25 states within the U.S. She brings years of qualified experience to her work. Her unique perspective on wellness, resulting from over 20 years of consulting for eating disorders and sports medicine, has helped her create the Rev It Up Fitness program.
