James King

James King's character-driven fiction blends psychological suspense with emotionally complex stories of family, guilt, loyalty, and redemption. He is the author of the novels "Extenuating Circumstances" and "Bill Warrington's Last Chance," which won the 2009 Amazon Breakthrough Novel Award Grand Prize. His poems have appeared in numerous literary magazines and anthologies. He also co-authors the blog and vlog, Overlanders Then and Now, where he and a longtime college friend revisit their backpacking adventures across Europe, Africa, the Middle East, and Asia in the late 1970s—and reflect on them decades later. A graduate of the University of Notre Dame, he earned an M.A. in Writing from Manhattanville University. He lives in Wilton, Connecticut, where he is at work on his next novel.
