Sandra Bernard Dugas, Ph.D.

A businesswoman and entrepreneur with a very diverse background, identify Dr. Sandra Bernard Dugas. Her formative years as an agent with LSU Cooperative Extension Service had her developing and delivering educational workshops, in addition to presenting weekly television shows, conducting radio interviews, producing a local newspaper column, and fielding calls from a telephone "hot line."

Curious about the challenges of owning her own business, Sandra opened one of the first 100 franchised Sylvan Learning Centers. That experience sharpened her skills into becoming a better manager, teacher, coach and leader for both employees and clients. Consistently a Top 10 performer, she was often asked to share success strategies with others center owners and directors at regional and national conferences. Her affinity for business led to the purchase of another national franchise, this time in retail. The baptism by fire --learning to buy, sell and control inventory, developing advertising and marketing strategies, creating visual displays, and staffing -- really deepened her arsenal of both conscious business processes and the art of building rapport.

With her formal education completed with a Ph.D. from Louisiana State University, all of the past experiences homogenized into the bedrock of Dr. Dugas' roles, today: executive coach, master trainer, facilitator, motivational speaker and author. She currently shares her expertise through the Jack and Patti Phillips WPLI T& D Certificate Program. She serves on the graduate faculty at USM as an adjunct instructor teaching graduate courses in Workplace Learning and Development and Human Capital Development.

Through her company, Dynamic Adventures, Dr. Dugas partner with successful executives and their teams. She assists them with personal and professional development by uncovering new ways to transform their performance in the workplace. Through her unique coaching model, Sandra mentors leaders to become coach-managers for their own teams. With an appreciation for group dynamics, for the past 15 years she has designed and delivered training and motivational programs to a vast array of organizations with a high degree of success.

Sandra truly believes that life is an adventure whose journey needs to be fully enjoyed.
