Hi,

Thanks for taking the time to read my profile.

If you're like me, you probably want to have some idea of the kind of person who is writing the book you're thinking of buying. This is especially true if it is a book about something as important as one's faith. Personally, I'm not sure I would read a book about faith if the author's personal life was an ongoing mess.

So here are ten things about me that might help you get to know me a little better:

1. I've been married to Deneen for more than 40 years and we have three daughters, three sons-in-law, and five grandchildren. We all get along quite well.

2. I was in full-time ministry for more than 25 years.

3. I became a Christian while reading the New Testament at age 19

4. I have a quirky sense of humor.

5. I currently work as a construction manager for Habitat for Humanity.

6. We lived on the Tug Hill plateau for 18 years and learned that there is such a thing as too much snow.

7. I like to read history books, especially first-person accounts.

8. I've written a column for local newspapers and done radio essays for Virginia public radio. if you Google my name you can find lots of stuff I've written and said.

9. I love Jesus. The more I know about Him the more I respect Him and want to follow Him.
