Writer, Weaver, and Wellness Advocate, and loving it all! Through the years, Sharon has woven her diverse educational, vocational, and personal background to realize her life-long passion helping others achieve thriving and purposeful lives. With a bachelor and master's degrees in business education, the arts, and comprehensive training as a lifeskills and wellness coach and consultant, for more than twenty years she combined her unique abilities in Lifeskills, Wellness, & Creative Arts Development.
As life always has its twists and turns, Sharon entered a whole new adventure with her health progressively deteriorating for inexplicable reasons. As she journeyed to solve her many “medical mysteries”, Sharon began to discover a whole new life of faith and hope. Sharon’s new journey took her through a cascading list of infirmities and diagnoses, the shadows and secrets of childhood abuse, and the meandering maze of conventional and alternative medicine. As she looks back on her odyssey to solve those medical mysteries, Sharon was challenged to look at life’s horizon with a broader stroke—one life forever changed by her faith in God, the impact of family on her physical, emotional, spiritual wellbeing, and the healing miracle of forgiveness.
Through the years, Sharon has written for many publications on lifeskills topics, wellness, and the arts with a Texas regional newspaper, Integrative Medicine: A Clinician's Journal, The Crafts Report, The Working Craftsman, and San Antonio Business Journal. Sharon also has been a lifeskills voice as a conference/seminar speaker for private groups, businesses, organizations, churches, private schools, and Texas state Department of Assistive and Rehabilitative Services (DARS) staff and parents.
With retirement, Sharon continues her passion helping others through her writings, wellness advocacy, and weaving fiber arts! Be sure to check out her website at https://celebratingyourjourney.com.
