Dr. Wendy M. Schauer

Dr. Wendy Schauer is the founder of Community Chiropractic, P.S., and Abundant Fitness Center, Inc. She is the co-founder of Abundant Health Center, LLC. Dr. Schauer has been a chiropractor for nearly two decades.

HIGHLIGHTS

· Dr. Wendy was the first female chiropractor in the world to earn her certification as an RKC - Russian KettleBell Instructor. She was also one of the first 30 people to be hand selected as a Team Leader for the RKC Certification Course.

· Owns and operates the first fully functioning Kettlebell gym in Thurston County, WA

· Former President of South Puget Sound Chiropractic Association

· Former Secretary and co-founder of Eastern Pierce County Chiropractic Association

· Dr. Wendy's aspiration in life is to empower others, especially younger girls. Dr. Wendy works with girls still in and fresh out of high school and teaches them life skills, communication skills, and how to empower themselves and build self esteem.

· Dr. Wendy was nominated for The 2009 Woman of The Year Award through The Best of Western Washington Awards. Her business Abundant Fitness Center was nominated for The Best Gym through The Best of Western Washington Awards.

· Abundant Fitness Center is a 2008 and 2009 winner of the U.S. Local Business Association award for The Best of Olympia, WA in the Gym/Health Club category.

· The Better Business Bureau has nominated Dr. Wendy and Community Chiropractic for the 2009 Business of the Year Award (the winners will be announced in 2010).

· In 2007 Dr. Wendy (and her business, Abundant Fitness Center) were a Top 14 Finalist for The Better Business Bureau Business of the Year.

· In 2007 Wendy was a nominee for The Business Leadership Award from The University of Washington School of Business.

· 2006 Finalist - Washington State Better Business Bureau - Small Business of the Year Award.

· In November 2005 Governor Christine Gregoire awarded Dr. Wendy The YWCA Women of Achievement Award as Washington's Woman of Influence.

· In 2005 Dr. Wendy's article "KettleBells and Chiropractic" was featured in the international magazine - Vitalics. She has written three additional articles on KettleBells that have been featured on numerous health and fitness websites.
