Anne Blumer

Anne Blumer, Certified Professional Organizer, Author, and International Speaker. Blumer is the author of Get Rich Organizing, co-author of Get Organized Today, and coming January 2019 author of Mastering the Business of Organizing 2nd ed., revised (updated and revised version of Get Rich Organizing). Blumer is a sought-after speaker around the world on professional organizing, and she enjoys speaking to a variety of audiences on the benefits of organization and productivity.

Anne Blumer became a Professional Organizer Trainer and Speaker because she believes in the immense value of this profession. She wants others who aspire to it to represent the industry as experienced and knowledgeable professionals. Anne formed the Institute for Professional Organizers™ to share her learning in the hopes that others will benefit greatly from her experiences. Anne has decades of training experience including teaching hundreds of participants from 17 countries to become professional organizing business owners. Her experience as a business owner and founder of SolutionsForYou, Inc. Organizing Services has given her skills, knowledge, and the ability to provide complete and comprehensive training to individuals that will enable them to successfully operate their professional organizing business.

Anne is among the inaugural 200 Professional Organizers in the world to receive the Certified Professional Organizer CPO® Designation from the Board of Certification for Professional Organizers (BCPO). Additionally, Anne holds a certificate of training from the Coach Approach for Organizers™ and from the Institute for Challenging Disorganization (ICD) a Level II ADD Specialist Certificate, Level II Chronic Disorganization Specialist Certificate, and five Level I Certificates of Study. Anne is a certified Freedom Filer™ consultant and certified GO System Trainer and Consultant.

Anne is a golden circle member of the National Association of Productivity and Organizing Professionals (NAPO), the Oregon chapter of NAPO, ICD, and the National Association of Senior Move Managers. As a leader in the professional organizing industry, Anne served on the NAPO Oregon Board from 2003 to 2009 and on the ICD Board of Directors 2014 to 2017. She received her Bachelor’s degree in Organizational Communication from Marylhurst University in Oregon.

Anne is featured in articles in the Oregonian, The Portland Business Alliance Small Business Connection, Women’s Day Magazine, More Magazine, and has several guest appearances on AM Northwest.

On a personal note, Anne’s family is globally diverse from four different continents. She is a Portland, Oregon native, her husband is originally from Switzerland, her two adult children are adopted from South Korea, and their dog is an Australian Shepherd.
