Randy Schmidt

Randy L. Schmidt is the author of the critically-acclaimed LITTLE GIRL BLUE: THE LIFE OF KAREN CARPENTER, a New York Times Editor's Choice and Wall Street Journal Best Seller. He also compiled and edited YESTERDAY ONCE MORE: THE CARPENTER READER, JUDY GARLAND ON JUDY GARLAND: INTERVIEWS AND ENCOUNTERS, and DOLLY ON DOLLY: INTERVIEWS AND ENCOUNTERS WITH DOLLY PARTON. He has served as creative consultant for several television documentaries on the Carpenters, including the E! "True Hollywood Story," A&E's "Biography," and VH1's "Behind the Music." , and was a contributor to the award-winning podcast, DOLLY PARTON'S AMERICA. Schmidt is a music educator in Denton, Texas.
