In a former life, I was a professor of literature. My scholarship focused on the role of the imagination in the sciences.

Now I write middle-grade fiction, satire, and the occasional parody.

Currently, I'm working on a middle-grade novel called The Kingdom of Fief. It's the story of a headstrong 12-year-old girl who wants to be a knight-errant so badly, she, along with her skeptical cousin, get sucked into a fantasy medieval world.
