Adrian Segar loves to facilitate connection between people. He has convened, designed, and facilitated conferences for over thirty years. Adrian consults on and facilitates participant-driven and participation-rich events, and runs workshops and presents on meeting design all over the world.
He is the author of three books on meeting design and runs conferencesthatwork.com, the world's most popular website covering meeting design and facilitation. Adrian has been named four years in a row as one of the 100 most influential people in the event industry in global polls of over 40,000 event professionals. He has presented at just about every major meeting industry conference.
Adrian's first job was selling men's haberdashery in a London department store. Eventually, he became an elementary high-energy particle physicist working at the world's largest particle accelerators, the co-owner of a solar manufacturing company, an information technology consultant, and a professor of computer science. If you had told him back then that meeting design and facilitation would become his passion and profession today, he would have said you were crazy.
Adrian lives with his wife Celia in Marlboro, Vermont, is active in the non-profit world, and loves to sing and dance.
