Melanie Hodgdon

Since 1994, Melanie Hodgdon has worked with clients to identify financial and procedural challenges and generate realistic solutions that reflect the resources and style of their companies. With a background in teaching, construction, and computerized accounting, she has made the construction industry her specialty area. Melanie writes for various construction industry magazines, speaks on business and QuickBooks topics at construction shows, records training webinars for a variety of organizations, and is a Certified QuickBooks ProAdvisor.

Her ideal client is the owner of a small- to mid-sized company who has either recently hung up his toolbelt or has been awakened to the need to be more of a businessman and less of a hands-on contractor. Melanie blends logic and insight to create company-specific solutions to help contractors operate more profitably.

She currently lives in Bristol, Maine with Ed, her husband of 35+ years, and a geriatric cat named Schroedinger. Ed and Melanie have been remodeling their ever-changing house since purchasing it in 1980. She claims it should be done any day now.
