Michael Goddard

Dr Michael Goddard is Reader in Film, Television and the Moving Image at the University of Westminster. He is interested in noise, media ecologies and archaeologies, Eastern European film cultures, post-Deleuzian philosophies and Italian autonomist and other radical political theories, and has published in all these areas. Following recent publications in noise studies and the cinema of Ruiz, his main projects include Guerrilla Networks, a media archaeological investigation of 1970s radical media ecologies, funded research in the UK and Brazil on the social media mapping of popular music music scenes, and research into audiovisual practices including contemporary television, post-cinemas, music video, popular music and contemporary art.
