Janet Holt

Janet Holt is a gerontologist and a licensed professional counselor specializing in the challenges of retirement. She is also a Baby Boomer who set out to understand why everybody was making money from her retirement savings but her. The result of her three-year research project is her new book, Investing Starting From Scratch. She hopes the information contained in this book will help others find their own road--a much shorter one than hers--to financial clarity.

Janet regularly speaks to groups and teaches classes on financial literacy. She writes a monthly column for the Lake Chapala Review and in addition, offers a continuing education seminar for counselors about the special challenges faced by boomers.
