Doug Holder

Doug Holder is the founder of the Ibbetson Street Press of Somerville, Mass. His work has appeared in the Boston Globe Magazine, sPoke, Rattle, Main Street Rag, Constellations, The Toronto Quarterly, Boog City, Cafe Review, Istanbul Literary Review, COMPOST and many others. Holder teaches writing at Bunker Hill Community College in Boston and Endicott College in Beverly, Ma. Holder holds an M.A. in Literature from Harvard University. The "Doug Holder Papers Collection" is now being processed at the University at Buffalo.

Holder's latest poetry collections are "The Essential Doug Holder: New and Selected Poems ( Big Table Books). "Last Night at the Wursthaus" ( Grey Sparrow Press) " The Patient" (Presa Press) , and "Portrait of an Artist as a Young Poseur." (Big Table Publishing). Holder is the arts/editor of The Somerville Times in Somerville MA.

Holder received a citation from the state of Massachusetts for his work as a publisher, poet, professor, and editor. Pulitzer Prize winning author Robert Olen Butler wrote of Holder, "You have a major league talent..."
