Amy B. Pedersen

Amy Pedersen is the author of The Miracle of Me from conception to birth and the soon-to-be released title Branding U: Student Leadership Strategies for Real World Success.

Pedersen was inspired to write The Miracle of Me when she was pregnant with her second child and her daughter was just a toddler. Her then 15-month-old daughter didn't quite grasp the concept of "baby in Mommy's tummy" and Pedersen longed for a child-friendly resource that explained pregnancy and fetal development in terms that young children could understand...So she made one! Amy's favorite part of the book? The real in-utero photography. People of all ages bond with the little one in the womb when they "see" those beautiful pictures.

In addition to being an author, Pedersen is also the co-founder of Slimpressions shapewear, a marketing consultant, a speaker, a philanthropist, a volunteer, a wife and a mom....and sometimes she even sleeps! Amy earned her undergraduate degree in advertising from the University of Georigia and her masters in marketing from Georgia State University. Pedersen is a member of the National Association of Female Executives, the Moms in Business Network as well as the Society of Children's Book Writers and Illustrators.
