Luc Dewez

Luc Dewez lives and works in Belgium. The son of a Belgian resistance fighter, he has been a historian and researcher on the air war in Europe for more than 15 years.

His work has received favorable comments from both the veterans and the late Roger Freeman.

Luc has written a detailed account of the 445th Bomb Group's disastrous Kassel mission where 25 of their B-24's were shot down, of the first Ploesti raid, and of missions flown by other US bomb groups.

His accounts rely heavily on personal accounts and interviews with the veterans themselves as well as the official records.

In addition to his work and research he enjoys life with his wife, Sophie, and their lively young girls, Marie and Lisa.
