Michelle Gislason, MA, is responsible for the program creation and management of several of CompassPoint’s leadership programs, including the Coaching and Philanthropy Initiative, the Blue Shield of California Foundation Strong Field Project, and the Leadership Development Program for Managers and Executives Serving Transition-Age Youth. She is a trainer and coach for CompassPoint’s leadership series, “Thriving as an Executive Director,” and recently co-authored the award-winning book “Coaching Skills for Nonprofits Managers and Leaders (Jossey-Bass). In addition to being a trainer, consultant, and certified organizational coach, Michelle is a trained facilitator in the Authenticity Circlesİ peer coaching model and a part-time instructor at University of Washington’s Evans School of Public Affairs. She graduated from UCLA with a Bachelor of Arts degree and completed her master’s degree in Organizational Psychology.
