Mike Williams

Dr Mike Williams is an award-winning (IPPY 2010) author, journal editor, lecturer, and writer on ancient belief. He has authored books, magazine and journal articles, and, most recently, a screenplay.

Mike spent several years in business before returning to the University of Reading to study for an MA and then PhD in prehistoric belief and shamanism. Whilst undertaking his degrees, Mike visited and studied indigenous shamans in places such as Siberia and Lapland. The insights this afforded him inform much of his published work.

Mike lives in a secluded valley in Wales and is editor of the county historical journal. He shares his life with his wife, three deerhound dogs, and a Siamese cat.
