Joe is a committed Christian. Like all men he has always battled the balancing act of work, family, marriage and faith. In 2006, Joe answered the call to start a new men's ministry that would target men in the prime of their lives. He conducted a national survey of Christian men and determined that a new event featuring committed Christian sports celebrities and business leaders just may be a common language to attract men to the word of God. His many years of working with the most successful corporate leaders in the world, and his close ties with the sports community and coaches proved to be the glue that created what is now known as "In The Zone". He joined with his friend Kyle Rote, Jr., and together they have birthed an event for Christian men similar in excitement and energy to ESPN. The subject areas are faith, marriage, family and work.

Joe has been married to Trudy Scott Pettigrew for 35 years and together they have three children: Ashley 29, Tara 27 and Tyler 22. You may contact Joe at joe@inthezone.org.
