Donald R. Davis

Lt. Cmdr D.R. Davis spent twenty-five years in the US Navy before pursuing a second career in civilian health care administration and consulting. He later entered academia, where he was professor and chair of a university health administration program. He lives in the Pacific Northwest with his wife. They have four children and seven grandchildren. He is a life member of the NRA and enjoys hunting in Montana and fishing in eastern Wasginton. He and his wife travel east each year in their RV to visit friends and family in Ohio, Indiana and Minnesota. Although he had written several "professional papers" during his career in healthcare administration, writing a book length manuscript was a new adventure and challenge, the editing of a 100,000 word plus document was a little overwhelming. Applying an old SEAL moto "the difficult we do immediately, the impossible takes a little longer" the book finally came to life in the form of SEAL Doc published November 15, 2010.
