As a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC), I have the honor of walking with individuals, couples and families through some of the most difficult periods of their lives. My passion is helping people settle down, manage distress, handle their emotions, and have better relationships.
Specifically, I have found a special niche in working with "VIPs," individuals who tend to experience very little peace in their day-to-day living. These people long to have meaningful work and relationships, but struggle to find order and balance in their chaos. My goal is to collaborate with these individuals and their families to help them find the joy and peace that seems to escape them.
In addition, I also especially enjoy working with health care providers and caregivers of chronically ill individuals. But really, I love working with anyone who wants to make positive changes in their lives.
I have an MA in clinical professional psychology, and an MS in gerontology.
Family, friends and creativity are my other passions. My perfect day begins with an early morning wake-up, a cup of piping hot coffee, at least 30 minutes in my journal, and then some light exercise and a tasty breakfast.
Right now, in my free-time, I am binge-watching "Call the Midwife." My 2016 goal is to catch up on all my unfinished craft projects, which include a crocheted afghan (well, two), a bunch of furniture painting (everything's going to be white), and a Noah's Ark cross-stitch I started in 1989.
