Randy Duncan

Randy Duncan is a Distinguished Professor Emeritus who has transitioned from teaching to writing fiction. As CFO of Delphi Creative/Consulting, Duncan writes and lectures about popular culture and curates comics-related exhibitions. A former Director of the Center for Comics Studies at Henderson State University, Duncan taught rhetoric and comics courses, including Comics & Graphic Novels and Nonfiction Comics. He is a co-founder of the Comics Arts Conference. In 2010 he won the Inge Award for excellence in comics scholarship. In 2012 Critical Approaches to Comics was nominated for an Eisner Comics Industry Award. The same year Duncan received an Inkpot Award for contributions to Comics Studies. He has presented his research on comic books and graphic novels at international conferences in Scotland, Greece, France, Germany, Ireland, England, the Czech Republic, and Brazil.
