Anderson, an ASMP Board officer, is an advertising and corporate photographer based in Baltimore, Maryland. He chairs ASMP's Digital Standards Committee, is principal author of the Universal Photographic Digital Imaging Guidelines, and works with ASMP and the Library of Congress on expanding and promoting best practices for digital image workflow and preservation.
Richard Anderson received a 2009 International Photographic Council (IPC) Photographer Leadership Award in recognition of his volunteer work as an ASMP board member, for his contributions to the trade through his role in developing the Universal Photographic Digital Imaging Guidelines (UPDIG), for his efforts in securing a three year award from the Library of Congress to further his work on digital standards, and for his educational outreach to the photographic community."
Anderson has a worldwide photographic clientele, he regularly presents seminars on digital workflow and quality, and he is the author of numerous magazine articles.
Richard is based in Baltimore, Maryland, where he lives with his wife, Valerie, and son, Nicholas, who just turned 10.
