B. D. Carlile

We all begin somewhere. Though he's been a conscious writer since age ten, nearly 30 years ago, He's only recently come into a writer's consciousness.

For years, writing the "Great American Novel" escaped him. Until he applied the art of turning a phrase into full-length prose.

Once he found his voice, the echoes of one of his writing mentors, Ernest Hemmingway, spoke to him. "All you have to do is write one true sentence. Write the truest sentence that you know." Then follow-up with another and another.

Although he's written more than 2,000 poems in the past 30 years, his love for creating a believable, although fictional, environment is through his books. His first publicly released novel, Romancing Jehovah, explores such a world. At 458 pages, it's a quick read. His small press, Desert Sol Publishing (DSP), published this novel using Amazon's distribution channels. His second novel, The Hyperion Protocol, is published. His third novel, The Horseman, is published. His fourth novel, Immortal Dying, is ready to publish.

He's a scholar, having spent decades exploring religions of the world. To the point, he is an expert in his field. Especially among Western religious philosophers.

He's a literary thinker. His thoughts aren't mere words, but active whispers of poetry.
