Delaney last published book is a memoir about living and traveling in France with her mother when she was thirteen years old titled 'Lily and Me in Haut de Cagnes'.

Delaney grew up in Santa Monica and Malibu Canyon, in Southern California enjoying the beaches and riding her horse in the Malibu Mountains. She relocated to northern California and has lived in the San Francisco Bay Area most of her adult life. More recently she has been spending a lot of time in Sedona, Arizona.
She studied writing with the 'Dangerous Writers Group', author Tom Spanbauer's group on the Oregon Coast and credits the group as being influential in her approach to writing. The idea is to write about those things which may be difficult or uncomfortable which have a potential to emotionally resonate with the reader.
She holds a degree from the Academy of Art University in Fine Art is also an accomplished fine artist, and has exhibited her oil paintings in galleries and museums throughout the West.
Currently Delaney is working on a novel about a young girl living in Arkansas during the post civil war period based on her great grandmothers life.
