Julian Worrall

Julian Worrall is an Australian architect, scholar, and critic with an international reputation as an interpreter of Japanese architecture and urbanism. He has worked as an architect and urban designer with practices in Australia, Japan, and the Netherlands, including Ushida Findlay, Klein Dytham architecture, and the Office for Metropolitan Architecture, and has a PhD in Urban History from the University of Tokyo. His critical writings have been widely published and translated in both scholarly and professional journals, and he has contributed to numerous exhibitions and institutions of architectural culture worldwide, including V&A London; MAK Vienna; Strelka Moscow; MoMA New York, and the Venice Architecture Biennale. He is currently Professor of Architecture at the University of Tasmania.
