Stephan Martin

Stephan Martin is an astronomer, educator, and cosmic guide who invites readers to explore the cosmos as both a scientific mystery and a source of wonder and meaning. He is the coauthor (with Carol Kilby) of the recent book Becoming the Change, a book of evolutionary rituals and practices designed to help individuals and communities participate more fully in a changing Earth and an evolving universe.

He is also the author of Living a Cosmic Life and Cosmic Conversations, works that explore how a deepening understanding of the universe can inform the way we live, relate, and respond to the challenges of our time.

For over thirty-five years, Stephan has taught astronomy, physics, and consciousness studies, guiding audiences from classrooms to mountaintops to immersive stargazing experiences. He serves as Director of the Deeptime Leadership Program at the Deeptime Network, where he supports leaders in engaging the evolving universe as a context for personal and collective transformation. Through his teaching, writing, and contemplative offerings, he helps awaken a sense of belonging in a living, evolving universe—one that extends from the depths of the human heart to the farthest galaxies.
