My 2012 novel Sons of the 613 was selected by Kirkus Reviews, YALSA, and Tablet Magazine as one of the best books of the year, and received a rare perfect 10 from VOYA. Stephen Colbert called my first novel, The Sheriff of Yrnameer, "A science fiction book your grandmother will love -- if she's a lustful, violent lady." My third novel, The Bad Decisions Playlist, will be published by Clarion in August of 2016, and I have a fourth novel slated for publication in 2017. My work has also appeared in The New Yorker's Daily Shouts, HuffPost Comedy and Salon. I'm currently a producer with Full Frontal With Samantha Bee, and have also been a producer for The Daily Show with Jon Stewart and Last Week Tonight with John Oliver. For a brief period I was also the world's least effective bouncer.
