Joan Arlin Hibbs grew up in Oregon where she met and married Bob Hibbs. After traveling with Bobs land development work the couple retired and settled in Florence, Oregon. They have recently moved to Northwest Washington to be nearer family. Joan is a mental health psychotherapist, clinic administrator, inspirational speaker, consultant, author, and illustrator. Her books carry her illustrations either on the cover or inside.
A children's picture book entitled -The Puppy Who Wanted to Fly - was inspired by her Cocker/Poodle Sweetie. A non-fiction book Dreamer's Handbook is the result of a Dream Therapy Workshop. Cinderella's Daughter, a fantasy storybook was inspired by her grandchildren. Most of her books are offered in paperback and e-books format on Kindle.
Hibbs strives to keep the prices of her works affordable via an affiliation with Amazon Books and Kindle.
Her new mystery novel - Indigo Persuasion - is for sale on Amazon Kindle and CreateSpace.
She will publish her life story, This Mystical Life, December 11, 2026. She is finishing two more mysteries, The Vanishings, and Mourning Dolls. and should be available early inn 2026.
