Ranjit N. Ratnaike

Ranjit Ratnaike is the author of Saradasi-The Prophecy, and Saradasi-The Search, science fiction novels. He has also published three medical books.

He is originally from Sri Lanka, and lives in Adelaide, South Australia, Australia, where he is a physician. He has had a long association with The University of Adelaide as Associate Professor of Medicine and Associate Dean of the Faculty of Health Sciences.

He has lived in the Himalayan foothills training women as Health Workers, and worked as a consultant on various health projects in South and South East Asia, and in the western pacific region. He served as Regional Adviser in Health Information for the World Health Organization in Manila, Philippines

He is the editor of, and a contributor to three medical texts published by the Cambridge University Press, Cambridge; Edward Arnold, London; and McGraw-Hill, Sydney. He is the author of several scientific papers.
