Marcus F Griffin's sixth birthday present was a coffin built by his father at his request. Young Marcus piled books and stuffed animals on top of it of every night so he'd be awakened if anything tried to crawl out of it while he was sleeping. The rest, as they say, is history.
Thanks to childhood encounters with unexplainable supernatural events, Marcus was driven to study the mysteries of a multitude of worlds, as a result of which, he has been a student and teacher of metaphysics, spirituality, and the paranormal for over twenty-nine years. He is author of Advancing the Witches' Craft: Aligning Your Magickal Spirit Through Meditation, Exploration, and Initiation of the Self (New Page Books, 2005), and WISP-Witches in Search of The Paranormal: Spooky Streets and Haunted Highways (forthcoming, Llewellyn Worldwide 2010). Marcus is an active member of the Horror Writers Association. He is also a regular contributor to Circle Magazine and the UK's Paranormal Magazine and writes monthly feature columns for Ghostvillage.com and The Wiccan Pagan Times. Marcus lives with his wife in northern Indiana in a haunted home located on their sanctuary, which is known as Nevermore Gardens. He feels that his greatest accomplishment to date is the completion of his very first novel, a work of literary horror titled Slaughter.
Marcus has also been interviewed on countless paranormal and horror talk-radio programs such as The X-Zone, Fear Zone, and Shadow Talk Paranormal Radio. His television and film credits include:
* The Legend of Primrose Road, a documentary focusing on a paranormal legend filmed by the University of Notre Dame
* The Belle Gunness episode of Conversations With A Serial Killer, filmed by Twofour Broadcasting for Living TV. Marcus was a "talking head" expert on the historical and paranormal aspects of the Belle Gunness murders. His teammate Amber was also filmed for this episode as a narrator. This episode will first air in Fall of 2008
* The Jeffrey Dahmer episode of Conversations With a Serial Killer, also filmed by Twofour broadcasting for Living TV. In this episode, Marcus and team WISP are filmed performing a paranormal investigation on the property where many of the Dahmer murders took place. This episode will first air in Fall of 2008
