Ann Ulrich Miller

Ann Ulrich Miller has written her earlier novels under the name Ann Carol Ulrich. Born in Madison, Wisconsin as Ann Schumacher, she grew up in the suburb of Monona, with three brothers and two sisters.

She attended Michigan State University and graduated in 1975 with a degree in English with a Creative Writing emphasis.

In 1978 she moved to Aspen, Colorado, with her first husband and toddler son, and worked for The Aspen Times and Snowmass Village Sun newspapers.

The move to Colorado was the beginning of her esoteric spiritual awakening. In 1984, she felt inspired to help others awaken to their spirituality. She began Intimate Abduction, the first novel in her "Space Trilogy" during those years. She has continued to work for newspapers in various positions and has worn many hats at each one.

Her newsletter, The Star Beacon, came into being in April 1987 and continues in its 35th year, dedicated to UFO experiencers and those interested in spiritual growth and the paranormal. Intimate Abduction was published a year and a half later. Two sequels followed, Return To Terra (1994) and The Light Being (2005).

A family illness prompted the author and her husband to leave Colorado. She and her husband Ethan Miller lived in southwestern Ohio until his passing in 2008. Six months later, she returned to Colorado, this time choosing Pagosa Springs as her home. After meeting who would become her third husband, she left Colorado with him to experience life in Washington state. In 2015 she and her mate returned to southwestern Colorado. Currently they reside on the Western Slope in Delta County, where her three sons and their families also reside. Ann has one grandson.

Now retired from the newspaper business, Ann Ulrich Miller continues to write books and to publish The Star Beacon. She maintains Earth Star's Web site and assists others with their publishing projects.
