Ray Crawford has fished the Texas Coast for over five decades. He learned to wade fish at an early age from his dad and granddad because neither one could afford a boat. Ray learned to search for overlooked and remote locations, far from other fishermen. Pressure from his friends to put this knowledge into a book to help others resulted in the popular editions on wade fishing around Galveston and the Coastal Bend of Texas. The books have detailed maps and aerial photos, as well as directions to walk-in wading spots and places to launch a kayak or small boat.
In the Upper Coast book, Ray covers Sabine Lake, all of the bays around Galveston, down to the Mouth of the Brazos. The Coastal Bend book, covers the south shoreline of San Antonio Bay, down to the Upper Laguna Madre at Corpus Christi, including the bays around Rockport and Port Aransas,
