William Batson

William “Willie” Batson is an engaging presenter who speaks nationally with authority on today’s family relationships. He inspires his audiences with practical instruction that challenges couples and parents to work together through relational issues with a Christ-centered approach. Willie brings both humor and practical wisdom to his presentations. His work genuinely reflects a calling from God in his life.

Willie and Cindy met at a Christian college in New England and married in 1972. They are the parents of two married daughters and are extremely proud to claim six grandchildren as their own.

Founder of Family Builders Ministries in 1987, Willie served as its President until retiring in 2017 to focus on caring for Cindy as she fought the progression of her chronic illness. Cindy passed away in February 2018 from complications related to Multiple Sclerosis, a debilitating disease she battled for 27 years.

Willie is an ordained pastor with a degree in theology from Berk-shire Christian College and a Master of Arts in Family Ministry from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary. He has served churches in South Carolina, Connecticut, New Hampshire, and Maine.

A published author, Willie wrote his first book, Tools for a Great Marriage, in 2008. It has enjoyed worldwide distribution and gained acclaim from readers and noted authors such as Dr. Gary Chapman (The Five Love Languages) and David & Claudia Arp (10 Great Dates series).
