David J. Ferreira was born in South Africa on 19th December 1983. After matriculating from High School Wonderboom, he attended the University of South Africa (UNISA), studying for his BA in Creative Writing.
Ferreira has published his first biblical fiction about King David in a christian fiction series, with the first book titled "David: The Warrior King" and has finished his second stand-alone historical fiction novel, in 2009, which is set in 1st Century Rome and Israel.
In a review by the Mercury, Ferreira was called "a top historical writer" and has been compared to Taylor Caldwell, Francine Rivers, C Lloyd Douglas and AH Venter, by Impact Radio.
As a devout Christian, David J. Ferreira sees his writing as his ministry, and he attends the Lewende Woord youth church, in his hometown, Pretoria.
He is a full time author, and established a Non-Profit-Organization, which makes available funds for the teaching of illiterate children in rural parts of South Africa.
