My husband and I live on an acreage in Iowa-U.S. We love country life - gardening, flowers, raising rabbits, goats and chickens. I'm a retired Certified Nurse Aide at the local nursing home. All of my country experiences, the fact that I live near Amish settlements and my job in long term health care has given me the ideas I've used for several of my books.

I helped my mother care for my father who had Alzheimer's disease for the last ten years of his life so I've written two books about my experience with tips to help other caregivers. Some of the elderly I cared for at the nursing home were such interesting people that I have used their likeness in books that are a mystery series set in Iowa much like Miss Marple mysteries. My book about the Civil War in Southern Missouri (based on real facts) is from the locale where I was born. I'm always working on my Amish series Nurse Hal Among the Amish.It's a thrill each time I have a book completed, see readers buying the book and sending me their great reviews.
