S. C. Lang

S. C. Lang was born Scott Charles Lang on August 21, 1967 in Smithtown, New York to a German immigrant father (Luther Roth Lang, 1935 - 2008), and a Lithuanian immigrant mother (Rita Elizabeth Lang, 1936 - 1994). S.C.'s father had a successful career within the FAA, while his mother stayed home and took care of their three children, Karen, Karl and S.C. Luther's job forced his family to move around the country often. By the time S.C. was the age of 7, he had already lived in New York, Pennsylvania, Oklahoma and California. The Lang family finally settled into a quiet Illinois town called Crystal Lake, a northwest suburb of Chicago in the late 70's, and S.C. would reside for the next two decades in the area.

S.C. fell in love with reading while in high school, and was always considered a great storyteller by his friends and family, but never tried his hand at writing until a friend dared him to finally put one of his stories down on paper. Original Sin, his first novel, was the end result of that dare.

On October 5, 2001, Lang moved from Illinois to Colorado, where he married the love of his life, Shellye. S.C. has two children, Ashley and Trenna (pronounced Tree - na) and is currently busy working on his next murder mystery thriller.
