Richard Cronborg

Richard Cronborg was born on the South Side of Chicago in 1949. He attended Catholic grammar school and High School. He received a degree in Sociology from Southern Illinois University in 1971. He worked as a warehouseman, pizza delivery driver, flower delivery driver, bouncer and bartender in biker bars, sold men's wear, and ran heavy equipment for 33 years. He is a retired member of local #150, Operating Engineers Union. Rich worked on the Deep Tunnel Project, worked on drill rigs, ran bulldozers and cranes. He is a well-know professional artist in the Chicagoland area. He has been featured in Chicago Magazine, the Chicago Tribune, and a variety of suburban newspapers and magazines. He picked up a pen 3 years ago after double bypass surgery on his legs. He has survived cancer and a variety of other diseases. He works out in a gym every day. He loves to write about dive bars, hookers, and fairy godmothers. His books gush with scenes of Chicago's underbelly. He is working class and proud of it! Rich is currently retired and resides in Wheaton Illinois with his wife Debbie.
