Jess L. Gregory

I am a graduate of the University of Bridgeport's Doctoral Program in Educational Leadership, where I earned the award for the Outstanding Dissertation of the Year. My work on mentoring and afterschool programs was focused on student performance on Connecticut's standard assessment for 10th grade students. While I have worked in both suburban and urban settings, I consider myself an urban educator. In my work teaching Chemistry, and other sciences, I have devoted myself to making abstract concepts concrete.

I graduated from Dartmouth College, with an A.B. in Classical Studies and, later, while teaching was awarded an M.S. of Environmental Education from SCSU.

This book grew out of Dr. Mulcahy and my experiences with students struggling with the statistics portion of dissertations. They were not comfortable with the math, hopefully this book will reduce the anxiety that seems to surround statistics and enable doctoral candidates to learn more from their research.
